Special Order Compounds

Frame Retardant Grades AR-NF series

Fire retardants of thermoplastic elastomers have had a hardness of at least 80A as mainstream. They have remained at a V-1 level of UL94 Standards even though they are 80A or below. AR Elastomers meet V-0 criteria by using environmentally friendly safe non-halogen fire retardants without deteriorating excellent rubber elasticity and moldability at a hardness of 80A or lower. In addition, a hardness of 60A and 40A, in which fire retardability is difficult to realize, have also achieved the V-0 level. The materials are expected for electronic devices and light electrical parts in the future.

Vibration damping Grades AR-DM series

There is an effect to attenuate vibration by transferring heat energy to vibration energy. It has better vibration absorptivity than butyl rubber and provides grades having tan δ 0.5 or higher. Effective uses are for speaker cone edges, home electronics, and electronic devices.

Conductive & Antistatic Grades AR-EL series

AR Elastomers provide an electroconductive grade with good electrical characteristics while they are essentially an insulator. Another grade is the antistatic grade that has a stable antistatic feature with less change in the resistance value based on a change in time and use environment. The antistatic grade has a surface resistance value of 108Ω to 109Ω and are effective for members used in environments such as a clean rooms in which no dirt or dust is allowed.
